This group is focused on bringing developers together with non-profit and social mission organizations. If you are interested in connecting with developers for other purposes, we recommend the New York Tech Meetup or technology-specific user groups. If you are interested more broadly in technology for social activism, but aren't a developer or an organization representative, Grassroots Camp is a great place to learn and network.
