Introduction

I recently started a Meetup of my own, nyc-code-to-learn, whose objective has been to get volunteers together to help NYC Public School students learn programming. There are almost 30 members of it, but no activity lately.

What kind of technologist are you? Or if you represent a social mission organization, what's it called and what are your goals?

I'm a website developer (mostly Java and SQL and some client-side JavaScript, also a little PHP). I'm especially interested in benefiting NYC public education.

Are you currently working on any projects that use technology for social good?

No. My own meetup, nyc-code-to-learn, is not currently active.

  • Hey Larry, it's Charisse from the Studio. You're right, the Sing-A-Long is next week. Seems I'm trying to make February even shorter than it is.
